November Holiday Projects

Here's what I've got for November. The wreath was made with green batik scraps leftover from quilt projects, black eyelash yarn and red buttons. No sewing! This was a 100% hot glue gun project. I have the pattern & can give the info if anyone wants to make their own.

And this one is inspired by Pinterest. I bought the black wood letters for 50% off at Hobby Lobby, and used some red Martha Stewart glitter paint I found at Home Depot to dry brush over the letters. The red looked pink to me, so I kept brushing it until all that was left was glitter.

Sorry the pics are so blurry - I pulled them off my Picasa album and I think I must've not set something properly in the download because the resolution stinks.

The summer to fall to winter transition has been tough!! My crafting has been down lately! However, I will not let this challenge win! I will conquer each project...it just might be taking me a little longer than it should!

With that said...here are my UFO's for September: BINDING!!

Wave Quilt: Top completed May 2012, quilted in August 2012, binding completed in October 2012. Just need to make the label but I have til Christmas to do that! :)

Happy Halloween!
My wearable art is actually my daughter's Halloween costume. She wanted to be a ghost, with just a white sheet over her head and holes cut for eyes. Nut that I am, I could not go with something so simple. So we got a pattern and some gray taffeta and made a ghost costume that I think looks more like a dementor from Harry Potter, if it was in black, but she liked it.

November Challenge -- Holiday Craft

With the Holiday's amongst us it is only fitting to create a Holiday craft this month! Outskirt your home in new Thanksgiving decor. Or maybe take the time this month to create a new tree skirt for your Christmas tree. Whatever it may be, we look forward to seeing what you create!

Happy November!
